We provide Deck, Porch and Patio Powerwashing, Staining, Restoration, Refinishing, Sealing and Weatherproofing. We offer a variety of stain types and colors. We serve both residential and commercial clients with the following services:

We apply various coatings and stains to exterior wood structures such as decks, pergolas, fences, and even children’s play structures.

Staining Disclaimer

Due to the extreme weather conditions in Kentucky, and the inconsistencies of exterior wood surfaces, especially on decks, our regular 5-year Guarantee does not apply to any staining services. There is too high a chance of stain failure. Our staining customers will need to understand and accept this before we service their deck or other staining structures. Decks require yearly maintenance and complete recoating every 1-3 years.

Beyond painting, staining, and epoxy coatings, we also offer extensive remodeling services such as removing vinyl or rotted wood siding and replacing with Hardie Concrete siding, we repair or replace rotted exterior wood soffits, fascia boards, or trim. We can do just about any kind of exterior carpentry including replacing rotted deck boards or steps, or building entire new decks and fences, garages, or other structures such as porches with overhangs, screened porches, or covered patios and decks.

“Last November, I hired Keith Zafren’s company, My Three Sons Professional Painting, to apply an elastomeric coating to my badly weathered deck. Keith assured me this product would last 5-7 years. Well, after only 8 months, my deck looked terrible. The product was peeling and cracking everywhere. I informed Keith and he immediately came out the next day to inspect the problems personally. He called me right away to tell me it was clear to him the men who he had performed the work 8 months ago did not listen to his instructions, and they applied the product improperly. Hence, the product failure. Within two days, he had another one of his men at my house to pressure wash all the old product off my deck, and then apply two new coats of the coating properly, all at no cost to me. I just had four rooms painted by My Three Sons and they did an incredible job. Quick, neat, careful, well organized, conscientious, polite, always on time, and they did a beautiful job. I've never had a better experience with painters and have never had a project look so good. Travis, the crew leader, was always professional and a real pleasure to work with, the kind of person I was happy to trust with my home. Though they didn't submit the lowest bid, their price was very fair and very competitive and their thoroughness in assessing the job and preparing their estimate was impressive, head and shoulders above any of the others I called. It made it easy to choose them for the job. Keith, the owner, even helped pick out the colors.

We are so pleased with the work performed by My Three Sons Professional Painting. They painted the entire interior of our home and transformed our home. Travis and his crew were such a pleasure to have around, worked really hard, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of every work day. They certainly cared about doing a good job for us, and it was reflected in the finished product. During the middle of the project, we went out of town for a week. We felt very safe leaving them in our home knowing that they could be trusted with the keys to our home and that they would not cut corners on the job while we were away. I found My Three Sons online. They painted a door and frame, patched and painted a wall, and sanded, primed, and painted an unfinished fireplace mantel. Keith, the owner, was amazing. He was always on time, detailed with his assessment of the project, explained everything thoroughly, and was in contact with me regularly throughout the process. Best of all, Keith was able to schedule me in for the NEXT DAY - a SATURDAY since my project was fairly small and he had an employee willing to work a weekend. Keith came over the day painting began and went over the to-do list with the painter personally. He brought all of the supplies needed and checked in with me each day to make sure I was satisfied with the work. If I contacted him with a question, I heard back from him within minutes. You couldn't ask for a nicer, more professional guy. I felt like he genuinely cared that I was not only happy with the work, but the entire experience. I also felt that they made my time and schedule a priority. Ben, the painter who did the work was great as well. He showed up when he said he would, worked efficiently, was very neat, and was very courteous and polite. He did a wonderful job. Based on the above, I really have no reason to look for another painting company. I trust My Three Sons and plan to use them for all of our painting needs in the future.

My Three Sons Professional Painting came highly recommended to me by several neighbors and friends. The bid was accurate, the work was done as soon as my other contractors finished the exterior construction, and the painters were professional, efficient and kind. I wanted to commend My Three Sons Professional Painting Services (Painters in Lexington) for the job they did on the outside of my house. I hated the color of the brick and had tried to remedy by having someone else dye the brick; it looked like he had put graffiti on my house. I hired My Three Sons to remove the textured ceilings in a new home I purchased in December 2020. The job was sizable, requiring the removal of approximately 3400 square feet of textured surface. Tony, our project manager, successfully finished the job over a relatively short period with great care and attention to detail. Looking at our ceilings now, you would never know they were once textured--they are perfectly smooth, pristine, and look original to the house. Moreover, the removal of the texture brightened the light in our home significantly and modernized the overall look immediately. I can't say enough about how professional My Three Sons was or what a great job they did. Amongst all the many, large-scale projects we tackled in our new home, refinishing the ceilings resulted in one of our favorite finished products and it is something we are so glad we did with My Three Sons.

Painters in Lexington - My Three Sons Professional Painting Services. We hired this company to stain our deck. It’s a new deck that we spent a lot of time (and $$) to build, so we wanted the initial staining to be done well to protect our investment. We got numerous bids and while My Three Sons was not the lowest price, they were an easy choice for our project. The initial estimate process was very professional, knowledgeable, and plan clearly explained. Follow-up calls were not done in an annoying/pestering way. When it was time to move forward, the communication moved to a different person, but the transition was smooth with no drop in customer service. The project started exactly when promised, the crew on-site was professional, stayed busy, and communicated very clearly when they were leaving both days for what to expect next. We’ve had our share of bad experiences with contractors not showing, communicating, poor quality, etc. My Three Sons has been the best contractor experience that we have ever had. When we’re ready for our next painting/staining project, we’ll definitely return to this company!
