“I received 2 estimates. Keith was clear, thorough and professional. His estimate was a little higher but he was suggesting a bit more than we had originally thought. We decided to wait until late summer/early fall. Keith followed up and kept in touch. My husband decided to go with a third person – not nearly the quality I knew Keith would provide and this person’s clean up/finish turned out to be a fiasco. “We originally obtained three bids to paint the interior of our house. Unfortunately, we elected to go with a local franchise of a national company that was less expensive. The online reviews were positive and a friend had used them with good results. This turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes we have made. Be aware that reviews may be crew-specific. Some of the individuals sent to paint our home were careless and borderline incompetent. We had to clean for about two hours each night after they left and the end result was much worse than if I had done the job myself. We then contacted Keith at My Three Sons to come in and paint the woodwork. I cannot express the difference between the two companies. Geyner and Christopher have cared for our home like it was their own. The workmanship is fantastic. These gentlemen are professionals and take pride in their craft; totally unlike our previous experience. I give My Three Sons my highest recommendation. “I got quotes from three different painting companies: $380 with no explanation of how the work would be done; $200 with some explanation; and My Three Sons’ quote of $297 with a calm, detailed and clearly presented plan for treating the rust and painting the vent. Owner Keith Zafren kept in touch with me by phone and email before he went to my house; after he looked at this very small project when he again explained what he would do and when he planned to do it; after he got the first coat on (and sent pictures); and when the job was finished. He even sent a picture of my pathetic porch and offered to write a quote for staining. Keith requested a partial payment for the materials, and within a week, the job was done. HUGE IMPROVEMENT. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again. This is the second time I’ve used Angie’s List for finding and contracting with a service provider, and I have been thoroughly pleased with both.“

“I hired My Three Sons to remove the textured ceilings in a new home I purchased in December 2020. The job was sizable, requiring the removal of approximately 3400 square feet of textured surface. Tony, our project manager, successfully finished the job over a relatively short period with great care and attention to detail. Looking at our ceilings now, you would never know they were once textured–they are perfectly smooth, pristine, and look original to the house. Moreover, the removal of the texture brightened the light in our home significantly and modernized the overall look immediately. I can’t say enough about how professional My Three Sons was or what a great job they did. “My wife and I started searching for painters in Lexington by doing a simple Google search. We were planning a major remodel that would involve all new paint and extensive drywall work. We had three paint/drywall contractors come over to quote the project. My Three Sons Painting was the third contractor, and after meeting with Keith the owner, we knew we found who we wanted to work with. My Three Sons was able to take on the drywall work and the paint. Their price was not the lowest but we felt that they were going to give us the best end product. We were not wrong. “I found My Three Sons on the Internet while looking for someone to repair water damage from a leaky roof. This repair was not just for painting – there was significant damage to the old lathing that old buildings have. This damage was very significant particularly because it had occurred on a building built in 1908. My problem is that I am in Lexington only once a month and needed someone who was trustworthy and would do what they said they would do – without me there to supervise the work progress on a day-to-day basis. As one meets Keith, the owner, you can tell right away that he is a man of character and is honest. I saw the final results this past weekend while in Lexington and they are very nice.
